Hello everyone, welcome to another beautiful Sunday Morning/Afternoon/Evening depending on where you may be reading from. We bring you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today, we would be discussing on the importance of seeking after God’s perfection. As we all understand, we serve a Holy God, and as His children, it is expected of us to be direct reflections of the Holiness and Perfection of God.

Matthew 5:48 says:

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is Perfect.

It takes a loving father to give instructions and guidelines to his children. God demands absolute obedience to His instructions from all His children. There is always something to gain from God for obeying Him. This is because every instruction He gives has a promise attached to it.

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And i will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.” (Genesis 17:1-2)

One thing God desires from all His children is perfection. To be perfect means a state of being in complete conformity to God’s words. It denotes a state of being faultless, blameless or spotless and a state of being excellent (Daniel 6:3)

Some people argue against perfection; they say all men are sinners and would therefore sin daily. This is not scriptural. God’s standard for everyone who is born-again is perfection. His standard of Holiness and Perfection remains the same. It was not higher under the Abrahamic covenant than it is under the New covenant. If God could help Abraham to be perfect, could He not help believers today to be the same? Are you a believer in Christ? then ask for the grace to be perfect.

Holiness is the nature of God according to 1 Peter 1:15-16. Holiness is His heartbeat, and His desire is that we be like Him in holiness. There are various steps to climb in our quest to attain the kind of righteous living and perfection God requires from us.

The first step leading towards God’s perfection is our Ability to be willing and Obedient. You must be willing and obedient to God’s word (Isaiah 1:19). The sad truth today is that society and pop-culture has done a great job in actually making us believe that it is simply impossible to live truthfully and in obedience to God’s laws and teachings, but as Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12:2, we have to try as much as possible not to conform to the patterns and customs of this world but attain transformation by the renewing of our minds. The only way our minds can be completely renewed is by taking total heed to the Word of God.

The second step to take in our quest for God’s perfection is by walking before and with God (Genesis 17:1). The bible is filled with various Heroes of Faith, Men and Women who walked with God and trusted Him wholeheartedly. The fact that we still read about them in this age and time is enough evidence of God’s faithfulness to those who would diligently walk with Him towards their divine purpose and assignment. Be in the place where God can direct you. Be mindful to Study His word and obey it (Joshua 1:8). In addition, you must fellowship with Him and abide in His Presence always (Psalm 91:1-2)

Genuine repentance is an indispensable condition for perfection. whoever wants to be perfect must first and foremost repent from sin and be saved (John 3:17). He or she must also live a holy life by abstaining from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). As you go into your day, you should seek for perfection in your walk with God and decide to obey God’s word absolutely. What God requires of you on a daily basis is perfect obedience to His will. you should therefore, stand perfect and complete in all His will.

It is our prayer that God continues to lead us through the path He had predetermined for us to take in order to achieve His righteousness. Some of you may be wandering what that path is and how you can find it. Well, we are here to let you know the path is not a “What”, but a “Who” and His name is Jesus Christ, the One and Only Son of the Living God. He is the path to God’s perfection. No human can see the face of God without being led by Jesus. and the beautiful thing about Jesus is that He is very present when you need Him. He wants to meet you, and build a relationship with you. There is no sin or mistake you may have made or currently making that is greater than His Love for you. The Question is, would you give Him a chance today? Are you bold enough to forsake your sins and accept His Love?

If you are ready to receive all God has in store for you through His son Jesus, we’d love you to say this word of prayer with all of your heart.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I need you, i am humbly calling out to you, i am tired of doing things my way, Help me to start doing things your way. I invite you into my life to be MY LORD AND SAVIOR, fill the emptiness in me with your Holy Spirit and make me whole.

Lord, help me trust you, help me love you, help me live for you. Help me understand your grace, your mercy and your peace. Thank you my Lord,

Beloved, i pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2)

I failed again, no matter how much I try to live right, no matter how much I try to live for you, this same sin… this very reproach just wouldn’t let me go.

I feel so ashamed Lord! I let you down over and over again; I am such a huge disappointment to you.

I try to do my best, I do! I give my all into attaining the righteousness you truly desire from me, but I still end up slipping.

I let you down Lord, and I also let myself down…. Down this path I know I shouldn’t be walking through, darkness seems to overwhelm my soul. Slowly, but certainly I feel myself departing from the light; departing from your presence.

Your presence Lord! My place of comfort, my place of rest….. How I miss you so much Lord! Take me back to how it used to be, to where it should be.

Create in me a clean heart oh Lord, and renew a right Spirit within me.

Do not cast me away from your presence and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me by your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways and sinners shall be converted to you.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

There is nothing you’d ever do that would catch me by surprise.

Child, I love you! My love for you has never been subject to your actions. Before the foundation of the earth was put in place, I had died for you. This is an eternal love!

I need you understand how valuable and precious you are to me. I need you to trust me enough to know that I want the best for you. To believe that no eyes have seen, no ears have heard and no mind has imagined what I have in store for you.

I also want you to be aware that there is a very real devil who prowls around like a lion, seeking an unsuspecting soul to devour. I need you to always resist his temptations and he would surely flee from you.

Remember, you are of God and greater is He who lives in you than that devil who seeks to hurt you.

I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy and you can crush the heads of snakes and scorpions without being hurt by any means.

Remember, I Am with you; I would never leave you, neither would I forsake you. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; even the rivers would not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flames scorch you.

Arise my child, welcome back home! All of heaven is rejoicing over you. You were lost, now you have been found. You were dead, but now you are back to life.

“When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have enough food to spare, and here I am dying of hunger!

I will go home to my father and say “father” I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son, please take me on as a hired servant.

So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son embraced him, and kissed him.”

  • Luke 15: 17-20

“I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – nor even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

  • Romans 8: 38-39

No matter how far away you feel you are from God, it’s never too late to turn back to Him. He is waiting for you with His arms wide stretched open.

You Are Forgiven!

Life Lessons from an Ant

I found an ant on my bed trying to find its way home. So I put the ant on my palm and began watching what actions the ant would take.

The ant, being aware of the fact that something or in this case, someone had moved it to a different location, was still focused on its primary objective; which was finding its way home!

So the ant began to climb to the top of my palm, trying to find a way out. But whenever it gets closer to the top of my palm, I would add my second palm to double the height thereby frustrating that little ant.

But this ant still kept on climbing, still pushing forward, still fighting no matter how many times I increased the distance by adding another palm, It just wouldn’t give up its quest of getting home. I guess its desire to get home was far stronger than the challenges it faced to get there.

This taught me a very beautiful lesson; it thought me about the power of Focus. In life, we all have a destination, a dream, a purpose or something we need and desire to accomplish. I don’t think I’ve ever come across someone without a goal, be it academic, finances, health, family, social, religious, political or environmental. Even the desire to just do nothing or sleep all day is an actual goal.

From my little experience doing life, I have come to understand that there is no goal that’s worthwhile without facing oppositions or challenges. A minister once said “if you have a dream, life would often test it in order to check its authenticity”.

Moses had a goal to lead the Israelites to the promise land, but guess what, he had a pharaoh to defeat, a red sea to cross and even Israelites to ‘baby sit’

Joseph had a dream of being a great leader someday. But before that could happen, there were his envious brothers, Potiphar’s lustful wife and a whole prison term to go through.

David was anointed to be Israel’s next king but guess what; He had a lion, a bear, a Goliath and even a King Saul to overcome before getting to the promised destination.

So whatever the dream you are chasing may be, or the ones you have buried within you, I want you to know that they are very valid.

You may be going through various obstacles to your vision but as long as the Sun Rises and sets every day, there is hope. The challenges are not meant to consume you, but actually to construct you into the person God had designed you to be.

The bible says:

“…For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”- Ephesians 2:10

That vision or dream buried in your heart came from God himself and He knows why He gave you that dream and sent you at this very time and moment in history. But you have to trust His plans for you and believe in your own spirit.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”- Jeremiah 29:11

I didn’t make those words up; God Himself spoke those very words to His children. His words are eternal, Spirit and Life, so it covers every generation, ethnicity, race and tongue.

Never give up!

Even that ant understood that giving up on a mission wasn’t an option. As long as it was alive, it kept going until it reached its destination

Guess what happened afterwards, when I realized how persistent and committed that ant was towards its mission, I gave up frustrating it and actually helped it find its way back to where it came from.

When life sees that you are unyielding, it actually turns and helps you reach your destination.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” – Romans 8:28

Now, it’s time to go out there, and show the world what you have inside. It’s time to activate and manifest your greatness. You can do it!

We wish you an awesome start to the week.

                                                                                                                                                                God Bless!

Dear Holy Spirit, may I meet you?

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere – in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:9

At age seventeen, I stumbled on a book titled “He Touched Me”. A remarkable story about Pastor Benny Hinn, who is a renowned world Evangelist and It revealed how much could happen when one person completely submits and become totally yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I grew up in a Christian household, so I thought I knew all there was to know when it came to church and Christianity. But boy was I so wrong! After reading the autobiography, I felt so sober with the realization that I had been living a life of complete ignorance to who God is.

God doesn’t and has never cared about the term “Religion”, all he cares about is You! Yes You! He wants to be in an active relationship with you. That was why He sent His Spirit to us here on earth, so we could be of one Spirit with Him.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

The simplest answer to this question is that the Holy Spirit is Indeed God Himself. God is one, but has three personalities, Father, Son and Spirit. In the Old Testament, God came to us when He saved Israel from captivity, then He dwelt with us as the person of our Lord Jesus, and now during these times, He wants to live in us through the person of the Holy Spirit.

Today, we would be discussing the nature of the Holy Spirit. I’d like to share some of my knowledge of who He is, which could be helpful in order for you to understand Him better.

  • The Holy Spirit is very Sensitive:

As earlier stated, The Holy Spirit is the very Spirit of God Himself so in other words; He is the Spirit of Purity and Righteousness. God gave us a command to live and lead a life of holiness if we identified with Him, because He is Holy (1 Peter 1:16).

By human standards, it is almost impossible to live according to God’s standards (Matthew 19:25). So God’s Spirit is needed in us to do that which ordinarily our flesh cannot do.

“… This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit’, says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6)

The Holy Spirit is also very sensitive to sin and He grieves when Children of God continually engage in various sinful practices.

The Bible says:

“Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of Redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30)

The Bible also warns that it is a very terrible thing to insult or blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a huge sin in the sight of God. It is one regarded as an “eternal sin”

“So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven- except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven” (Matthew 12:31)

We live in a time where different opinions are given about the church. And most times, some of the words spoken against the church are borne out of ignorance.

In Matthew 12:32, Jesus gives a warning on how we speak about his church that is currently being run by the Holy Spirit;

 He said:

“Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come. (Matthew 12:32)”

  • The Holy Spirit is the Power of God who sets you free from Sin and Death:

Did you know the Holy Spirit is the power of the Gospel? (Romans 1:16). Now, some of you may ask, “I’ve heard the word “gospel” all the time, but what exactly is the Gospel?”

The Gospel is simply the testimony about Jesus. It testifies of His coming, His death, Resurrection and ascension to a place of honour in Heaven. It also testifies that only Jesus has the power to save, heal and deliver.

The Gospel is Jesus Himself! And only the Holy Spirit has the power to reveal Jesus to those who honestly seek to know Him.

“Because you belong to Him, the Power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death”. (Romans 8:2)

  • The Holy Spirit Gives you a Spiritual Re-birth:

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The book of John tells the story of a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi” he said, we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God.”

What do you mean? Exclaimed Nicodemus

“How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?”

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, so don’t be surprised when I say you must be born again. The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it goes, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit. (John 3:1-8)

Only the Holy Spirit has the power to recreate you from the inside-out.

  • The Holy Spirit wants to have a relationship with you:

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. (Revelation 3:20)

Only if you knew how much you are loved by the Lord. While we were all sinners, He gave Himself for us, so we could be reconciled back unto Him and have the relationship with us He’s been craving for.

Most of us are currently doing life still carrying burdens only He can lift. Jesus is the only one who can fill the emptiness you feel inside.

Has anyone ever told you your sins are forgiven? Yes! Every single one of them, no matter how numerous or filthy they may have been.  You are not alone!

The bible says

“For all have sinned and fallen short of God’s Glorious standards. Yet God, in His Grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.” (Romans 3:23-24)

Every form of sin results in death; this is living an eternity away from the presence of God. The bible calls it a place of outer darkness where there would be so much torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth. Man had already sinned and was destined for hell, until grace found and rescued us.

The bible says: “for God so loved the world, that he gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

No matter what anyone may have made you believe, I want you to know that everyone is loved by God and everyone can be saved as long as you call upon Him with all sincerity and humility.

“Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Roman 10:13)

Thanks again for taking the time to read through. Remember to leave a comment or share a personal knowledge of who the Holy Spirit is to you. I wish you an awesome week ahead. God bless

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” (Acts 2:17)

He’s coming for you( Peace in the midst of the storm)

Hello friends,

Welcome to another beautiful day, its one the Lord has made and may we rejoice and be glad in it. I pray that the Lord’s protection and provision continue to be with you and your house even as we continue to soar above this Storm.

Soar? Yes! As Christians, it should be our core belief that no amount of darkness can dim the Light and Glory of our God. We also know that all things are working together for our good. So, let’s continue to keep our focus on Jesus, knowing that He would surely get us through this season.

Deuteronomy 31:6 says: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Here, Moses had been the Shepherd of God’s people Israel for forty years, and now it was time to pass the Leadership mantle to Joshua. But before doing that, Moses had to remind the people of Israel that God Almighty was their real Shepherd and Redeemer.

He also encouraged them to keep their trust in Him at all times regardless of how fierce the battles ahead may seem.

Today, Moses, Joshua and the Children of Israel who went into the promise land are long dead and gone. But the same God who promised to be with them at all times is still here and He’s words towards His Children has never changed. The Lord says “I Am with you! I would never leave you neither would I forsake You”.

Now the question is, do you have faith enough to believe His words towards you? Or you may even ask, what exactly is God’s word for me in this Season?

Peace (Matthew 8:23-27)

Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with His Disciples. Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

Jesus responded, “Why are you Afraid? You have so little faith!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.

The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey Him!”

I’m sure most of us had been told the story of “how Jesus calmed the storm” times without number at Sunday school while growing up. well, I know I have! I also remember thinking to myself how lucky those disciples must have been, like these people were given front row seats to witness “weather bending” by the creator of weather Himself.

But, as fascinating as that story may be, there are some lessons the Lord would like us to learn from there:

First, Storms of life are very real and most times, you never see them coming:

The bible said:

“While they were moving across the lake, a fierce Storm suddenly appeared”.

It is safe to say that the storm caught them by surprise. Why? Well let me explain, Jesus had twelve disciples, and three of them (Peter, James and John) used to be professional fishermen before they were called by the Lord. By training and experience, they ought to have been able to decipher weather conditions right? But if they had known beforehand that a fierce storm would hit them while travelling, am sure they would have tried to talk Jesus out of going on that trip. But circumstances didn’t play that way, which was perfectly according to God’s plan.

God was planning to let them know that He, Jehovah Shalom was in their midst. Jesus told His disciples

“though you may go through many trials and tribulation in this world, in me you will have peace. So take courage, for I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)

There may be someone who is currently going through a storm that caught you off-guard and it seems like it’s never passing away, I want you to know that you do not stand alone; the storm didn’t catch God by surprise. He is surely coming to your rescue.

If you read through the bible, you would understand that God loves making grand entries. Wait on Him; He is coming to get you! Even if it means him walking on water to save you from drowning, He would surely come through.

The Prophet Isaiah puts it this way: “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

Second, Calmness in Chaos:

The bible said:

“suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping”.

Now, back in those days, having a ship wreck, was the biggest travel fright anybody could have. It’s safe to say it was something similar to experiencing a plane crash in our days.

But quick question;

What was Jesus doing? Why was He asleep, or did He just seem to be asleep? The bible said the waves were breaking into the boat. So, they all must have been drenched. How could anyone be asleep under such conditions?

God would like us to learn that though it looked like Jesus was asleep in the boat, He was very much aware of the storm. He wanted to let His disciples understand that God’s silence doesn’t mean God’s absence.

The arising of today’s global crisis has caused many to ask questions like “where is God in all of this?” But I want you to know that He is very much aware of this storm and in its due time, like every other storm, it shall pass.

Another person who caught the principle of being calm in chaos was a disciple of his. A man by the name Simon Peter.  Acts 12: 1-8

About that time King Herod Agrippa began to persecute some believers in the church. He had the apostle James (John’s brother) killed with a sword. When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish people, he also arrested Peter. (This took place during the Passover celebration) then he imprisoned him, placing him under guard of four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring Peter out for public trial after the Passover.

But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers. Others stood guard at the prison gate. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” and the chains fell off his wrist. Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did. “Now put on your coat and follow me,” the angel ordered

According to the text above, the followers of Jesus were hugely persecuted for their faith after His (Jesus) ascension to Heaven. King Herod had James killed and also put Peter, who was the leader of the church in jail, awaiting trial and possible execution.

If there was one thing Peter learned from Jesus with regards to response when in the midst of a storm or crisis, it’s definitely calmness. For as the bible says, he was peacefully asleep while awaiting his trial, before God intervened by sending an angel to his rescue.

In conclusion, we know that as long as we are temporal residents here on earth, we would certainly have moments where we feel like all hope is lost. Situations that might make us doubt our faith and probably God’s existence and Love for us. But through it all, let us understand that He is God and He is good and nothing would ever separate us from His love. There is no mountain too high, nor ocean too deep that would stop Him from getting to us when we need Him.

Just continue to dwell in His presence; He loves your company. You are the only thought that occupies His mind. Fall in love with Him over and over again and then watch Him Glorify Himself in you for the world to see.

Thanks for your time, feel free to leave a comment if this article blessed you. Remember to live a life that pleases Him. God bless.

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the                  things which God has prepared for those who love Him”.  (1 Corinthians 2:9)

“Therefore, if any an be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Text: Galatians 2:20

No doubt, there are lot of things Apostle Paul wrote which are hard to understand. How can somebody be crucified and yet be alive? A crucified fellow is bound to die; but in Galatians 2:20, Paul says “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless i live”. What he is saying here is that ‘the man i used to be is dead: the fornicator is dead; the liar is dead; that man who used to be angry is dead; that man who used to defraud is dead; the man with the unforgiving spirit is dead; thank God, that man on the way to hell is dead; now i am going to heaven; i am a brand new creature’.

What message is Apostle Paul trying to convey when he says “I am crucified?” What really does He mean when He says “Christ is living in me” ? When we become born again, the Bible says we become brand new creatures in Jesus Christ. Quite a lot of things change when we become born again; all of them are inward things which later on reflects on the outside. Assuming you attend a church service and you become born again during the service, if you came you came in as a black fellow, you would still leave as a black fellow. after salvation, the colour of your skin does not change and you do not grow taller or shorter.

However, inwardly, certain things have changed. your spirit is now in communion with God. your spirit man which was once dead is now alive, but you are still living in the same body. The devil will try as much as possible to use that same body to drag you back to your old ways, but you must not give in. It is our Prayer that you do not backslide in Jesus’ Name. Now, it is your job to keep on renewing your mind and keep the cravings of your body under the control of your spirit. Yon need to keep reminding your mind and body that your flesh has been crucified. Apostle Paul writing in Galatians 5:24 said:

“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

There are certain things that the body loves to do and it is eager to do them all the time. Many will claim that they are already Crucified with Christ, but their stomach is still their Lord. For instance, if a fasting period of seven days is declared, many people will be very sad. Why will they be sad? it is because almost immediately, their stomach will start rumbling in agitation. We have been given the power to silence the flesh, declaring by faith that it has been crucified, thus bringing it under and subjecting it to the dictates of the Spirit.

“The wicked flee when no man is pursuing; but the righteous is as bold as a Lion.”Proverbs 28:1

Text: Daniel 6: 19-22

Once you are living a holy life, its going to be well with you. You will be able to abide under the shadow of the Almighty God. No harm will come near you because the Almighty God will cover you with His wings according to Psalm 91: 4-11. However, when you go into sin, you will be running when nobody is chasing you. Friends, you have nothing to fear except sin. if you do not live in sin, i can assure you that God will treat you as a loving father will treat His child. Isaiah 3:10 says:

“Say to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”

However verse 11 of the same chapter says:

“Woe to the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”

When you are living a life of holiness, you have angels as your bodyguard. They will go with you anywhere you go. They will see danger miles ahead and ward it off on your behalf. Your security is in the name of the Lord ( Proverbs 18:10).

If you are living a life of trust in God and holiness, you will stand and will not be afraid (Psalm 125:1-3). Nothing can move you. Nothing happens in life without God’s permission. You cannot even eat an Apple without God’s enablement. The devil cannot do anything unless God allows it. Only when He abandons you as a result of you refusing to repent of your sins can demons come near you. You can be assured therefore that your victory is sure because God is not going to allow the wicked to come near you, so that you will not be discouraged. in the story of Daniel, when he was thrown into the lion’s den, he made a statement worthy of note. He said:

“My God sent His angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for i have been found innocent in his sight. and i have not wronged you, Your Majesty.” – Daniel 6:22

Those who are living holy do not need to be afraid of anything or anybody that represents the devouring lions of this world. My prayer for you is that God will give you the ability to live in holiness and that your life will be full of testimonies of victory over all principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world in Jesus’ Name.

And Samuel said unto him, The Lord has taken the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to your neighbour who is better than you.” – 1 Samuel 15:28

Text: 1 Samuel 16:1

One important thing we need to learn in today’s reading is that God always has a substitute. If God says he wants to use you, rejoice! However, be careful, because even as He is choosing you, He has already prepared a substitute.

1 Samuel 2: 27-30 tells us about Eli. God chose Eli and his family to serve Him. God later changed His plans because He only honours those who honour Him.

One thing about God’s rejection is that the devil takes the place of the resultant vacuum that is created. This was what happened to king Saul. We also have the case of Judas Iscariot in John 13:26-27. He was a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. The moment God rejected him, Satan entered him and he ended up hanging himself.

Psalm 75:6-7 tells us something interesting:

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He puts down one and sets up another.”

Whenever God gives you an opportunity to serve Him, please humble yourself. It is better for God not to use you at all than to use you and push you aside, this gives room for the devil to come in. I pray that God would never substitute you with someone else.

In today’s reading, we see the rejection of king Saul and his replacement David. No one would have heard of David if king Saul had not lost his crown and position; just as nobody would have heard of Esther if Vashti had not lost her position. God has given us these examples so we can learn a lesson. God told Samuel to stop mourning over king Saul because He had already rejected him. He told Samuel to fill his horn with oil and go anoint one of the sons of Jesse as king. Samuel said Saul would kill him if he found out about His mission. This is an interesting statement because it showed that Saul had degenerated so badly that He could kill a servant of God. It is a terrible thing to backslide. This is why you Must never touch sin. We need to study the lives of people God rejected in the Bible so we can learn one or two lessons from their cases. We have to know what God saw in their lives to make Him reject them, so that we can run away from their mistakes.

Why was Esau rejected? The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:15-17 that He was rejected because He could not control his appetite. I pray that your stomach would not send you to Hell. Some people have never fasted since they became Christians. I pray that your appetite would not put you into trouble at a point where God would reject you in Jesus’ Name.

“And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?’- 1 Peter 3:13

Text: Ephesians 6:16-17

Living a lifestyle that dwells in the presence of the Lord guarantees the banishment of fear forever. When troubles come, God will hide you in His inner room until the war or battle is over. You will become impregnable and you will find yourself always above your enemies. The Bible in Psalm 91:1 says:

“He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

God wants you to dwell within Him as a fortress. He wants to be your light and your salvation so that there will be nothing for you to fear day and night. If you are sure that the Lord is on your side, then it is sure that there is nothing to fear according to Psalm 118:6. However, how can you say the Lord is on your side if you are committing sin- adultery, fornication, stealing, idolatry etc?

You can sleep well at night if you live holy and there is nothing wizards and witches can do to you. you have to make sure you are wearing something hard on your feet if you want to trample on a poisonous serpent. If you bare feet to stamp on a serpent’s head, you may be hurt. in the same manner, you must make sure you wear the Lord as a garment, day and night, to be able to face the devil. if you delight in obeying the Lord, you will be eternally secure.

According to the bible reading today, the shield of Faith is necessary to protect us from the fiery darts of the wicked. Anybody who is fighting against the devil and casting out demons will have his name on the hit list of the enemy.

However, the enemies know that as long as you are living Holy, they cannot touch you. Moreover, the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God is another potent offensive weapon in spiritual warfare. The word of God can only be effective as an offensive weapon if you are a doer of it (James 1:22&25). Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego obeyed God entirely. They obeyed the commandment that they should serve no other god. They were in a foreign land where the King ordered them to disobey the word of God but they refused to obey the king’s order and they got into trouble. They were put into the fiery furnace but God brought them out alive. God said that we must pray ceaselessly and seek His face every time. Daniel obeyed this injunction. A decree was made against praying, but Daniel chose not to disobey God. He was put in the Lion’s den but God brought Him out alive. i decree that as you obey the word of God today, the fire and lions of life will not terminate your life in Jesus’ name. Good Morning!

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:12

Text: Ephesians 6: 14-15

The instruction from our Lord that we should stand against the wiles of the devil connotes that we are already in conflict with the devil. we are already in battle and not probably in it. you may not know it, but the enemy is already fighting against you. If the devil is fighting against you, congratulations, if not, then there is something wrong somewhere. I hate the devil, and he hates me; i like it that way. we are commanded to fight and not to dodge the conflict. standing against the wiles is the opposite of running from the wiles. The Bible in 1 Timothy 6:12 says:

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

We are to fight and not run from this conflict. This must be clear in you mind. Ask God to give you the grace to put on the whole armour of God.

The first component of the armour of God is Truth. it is both a defensive and an offensive weapon. Righteousness is also a component of the armour of God. As a matter of fact, Jesus Christ is the Truth and He is our righteousness according to John 14:6 and Jeremiah 33:16. If you want to engage in casting out demons, you will have to know how to defend yourself using this knowledge. demons will hate you when you begin to cast them out , but that is inconsequential considering the source of the authority you are exercising. another component of the armour of God for our Spiritual warfare is the Gospel of Peace. Matthew 5:9 says:

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”

When you make peace with God in genuine repentance and you accept the remedy He has provided for sin, i.e, Jesus Christ, you become a favourite of God. can you fathom what that means? it means you become the apple of God’s eye. It is then and only then that the promise of Isaiah of 54:17 becomes your inheritance. Those who do not take the preaching of the gospel seriously do not know what they are missing. The reason is given by Paul an Apostle of Jesus Christ, when he said that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing but it is the power of God to those of us who have obtained salvation through it (1 Corinthians 1:18) .

In that name above every other name, you shall be victorious. Only be sure you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and live Holy in His name. Good Morning!
